Terms of Service

Wera is a location-driven labour marketplace that connects "fundies" (skilled workers) with contractors who need labour. Wera provides the platform for discovery, matching, claiming, and reputation - Wera is not a party to, and is not responsible for the performance of, any work agreement between a contractor and a fundy.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• A single account may hold both a fundy profile and a contractor profile, switchable at any time.

Wera may ask you to submit identity documents to become a "verified" fundy or contractor. Verification is a trust signal for other users, not a guarantee of any individual's conduct, qualifications, or reliability. Wera reserves the right to approve, reject, or revoke verification at its discretion.

• Contractors are responsible for the accuracy of job postings, including trade, location, timing, and pay rate.
• Claiming a job is an expression of intent to work it, subject to the contractor's confirmation - claiming does not itself create a binding contract with Wera.
• Contractors and fundies are responsible for agreeing on and honouring the actual terms of work, including payment, directly between themselves.
• Wera may remove a job posting or a claim that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Wera does not currently process, hold, or guarantee payments between contractors and fundies. Payment amount, method, and timing are agreed directly between the parties to a job. If Wera introduces in-platform payments in the future, separate terms will apply to that feature.

After a job reaches a valid completion state, both parties may rate each other. Ratings must reflect a genuine, completed transaction on the platform - you may not create, solicit, or manipulate ratings outside of that. Wera may remove ratings that violate this or adjust reputation calculations to address abuse.

You agree not to:

• Provide false information, including in identity verification or job postings.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, discriminate against, or endanger another user.
• Attempt to circumvent Wera's matching, verification, or rating systems in bad faith.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through unauthorized automated access.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Wera does not guarantee the identity, conduct, skill, or reliability of any user, and does not guarantee that any job posting or claim will result in completed work. You use the Service, and engage with other users, at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wera is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or from any work arrangement, dispute, or interaction between users that Wera merely facilitated the discovery of.

Wera may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, engaging in fraudulent or unsafe conduct, or at our reasonable discretion to protect the marketplace. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
